Meysari wine factory

Under the brand Meysari (the company’s main location), Shirvan Wines is one of Azerbaijan’s newest winemakers and the country’s first to be classified an organic producer by EU certification. Meysari Winery takes pride in being a trailblazer in organic winemaking, demonstrating a commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility.

Their first 40 hectares of vineyard were only planted in 2014, with the first harvest in 2015, but the signs since then have been very promising. Already the area under vine has grown to some 160 hectares with the vineyards primarily cultivated with indigenous Azerbaijani grape varieties such as Matrasa, Madrasa, and Rkatsiteli. The winery's commitment to preserving local authenticity extends to their meticulous cultivation methods, emphasizing sustainable and organic practices.

One of the crown jewels of Meysari Winery is its historical cellar, adorned with Azerbaijani patterns and featuring an impressive collection of wines. This cellar serves not only as a storage space but also as a testament to the winery's dedication to preserving the cultural heritage of the region.

The winery has garnered recognition for its commitment to quality, winning several awards at prestigious international competitions. Meysari's dedication to producing wines that encapsulate the essence of Shamakhi's terroir has positioned it as a notable player in Azerbaijan's emerging wine scene.
